Welcome to Holy Wars!  It is a title of a series of stories that I am writing based on the Bible and historical events, religions, etc. that I have tried to piece together into one cohesive epic drama.  Besides these historical fiction stories, I also plan on including, on this site, a good deal of concepts, ideas, research, etc. that I have come across during my own studies of the Bible and other historical/religious documents.

So this site is going to contain many theories, philosophies, theology, etc.  The concept behind the title of the story series, as well as the blog, is that our history is rife with wars based on religion.  Since the dawn of mankind, there have been two types of religious warfare.  The first is the obvious.  We have battled physically over religion, killing each other in the name of gods.  The second is theological.  We have battled spiritually and mentally over what really and truly IS the correct religion...the only true religion...the only true belief system.  Is it a belief in an all-powerful deity we call God or Allah or Yaweh?  Is it a belief in the Big Bang Theory and science and there is no God?  Are there multiple deities, such as in the Hindu belief system.  Is it a Force or Gaia or Tao?

What the Holy Wars blog is going to do is present to you my discoveries.  The fictional stories are based off of these discoveries; basically like my best attempt to recreate events as I think they probably occurred, or at least get it as close as I possibly can.

This being said, I recognize that I am no one special.  I have no Doctorate in Theology.  I am no prophet.  I do not pastor a congregation.  I have studied the Christian Bible, the Apocrypha, many religious faiths beside Christianity, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry, I've been in ministries most of my life, and that's about it.  However, I do believe that God has used my life experiences to show me a great many mysteries and the logical explanations to those mysteries.

So what I'm saying is that you should feel free to disagree and present your own reasoning as to why you believe the things you do.  I welcome it, for I make mistakes and don't know everything.  Besides, if what I write in this blog is truth, and you don't understand it, I'd like to help you understand it...or vice versa.  I only ask that we all keep things positive.  If we disagree on something, let's discuss it, pray about it, and do more research on it.
