The Mystery of Creation: Chapter 3: Understanding the Trinity: The Trinity, Three Distinct Beings in One: The Trinity of God
The Trinity, Three Distinct Beings in One:
The Trinity of God
How does this translate over to
God? The Bible refers to these distinct parts
of God as the Father, Son (or Word) and Holy Spirit. The Father, which is like the human soul, is
like the ALU of the computer. The soul
of a being receives data from all sources and it arranges all things and makes
all the decisions and issues all the commands.
Likewise, as you read the Bible, you begin to see that the Father
receives data from all sources and He arranges all things and makes all the
decisions and issues all the commands.
The Son, which is like the human
body, is like the computer code. This is
probably one of the hardest things for humans to grasp, though it may seem the
easiest. Everyone knows what a body is
right? However, the truth is that the
body is not what most people perceive it to be.
The body is more like that video game character, an avatar (or
representation of the user in a video game world). What you see on the screen is NOT what the
video game character is made of.
As I mentioned previously, in
truth, the video game character’s body that you see on the screen is made up of
lots and lots of tiny little color dots called pixels. These pixels are displayed on the screen in
just such a way so that your eyes see and transmit to your brain an image that
you recognize as a character. (I’m
stating this again to reinforce it as well as to make a point about the Son,
God’s “Flesh” or “Body”.) Tons and tons
of computer code dictate to the screen exactly where each of those tiny little
pixels is placed. Therefore, the
definition of that image is actually in all of those tons and tons of computer
code that you never even see. So what
you see is only what the code of a person’s body tells the code of your brain
to see.
The body, therefore, is actually
made up of tons and tons and tons of code that define every single little
atom’s placement and function. What we
call the body is really just a massive collection of definitions. This is why the Bible also refers to the Son
as the Word of God.
Yes, the Word of God is a more
accurate definition for the Body of God.
The Word of God is literally every definition, every code, which exists
within God. It is the exact definition
and representation of God. The Word of
God defines God. Without the Word of
God, just like with the computer and its computer code, God would not be able
to function or exist. The soul of God,
the Father, would not understand anything because there would be no language to
understand. No orders could be issued
because there would be nothing that those orders were made up of. The Word is necessary to create orders and
define them.
So the Son, as Christians call
this part of God, is really more accurately the Word. He, the Word, is the self-centered part of
God. When God says, “They are My people,
Israel,” He is speaking from the Word of God.
The Word dictates to God that He has proclaimed the people of Israel as
His. When He says, “I am a jealous God,”
He is speaking from the “Word” part of himself, and telling people what His
opinion is and what He likes and what He wants.
Finally, the Holy Spirit, which
is like the human spirit, is like the computer’s control unit and energy
supply. It is the Holy Spirit that gives
life to all things. It is this energy
that transmits all data to and from the Father.
It gathers information from the Father’s memory and brings it to His
attention so that He can take that information and figure out what to do with
it.
Just as the energy of the
computer is transmitted throughout every part of the computer, so the Holy
Spirit goes throughout every part of the universe. He is the omnipresent aspect of God. Just as the energy within a computer
transmits electronic signals throughout the computer, delivering the code to
the ALU from all parts of the computer, so does the Holy Spirit receive data
from all things that exist, and the Holy Spirit passes this all to the mind and
memory of the Father. Finally, just as
all things are executed by the power of the energy that flows through the
computer, which is controlled by the control unit, so the Holy Spirit is the
power that executes every single command of God. It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit
that ANYTHING that happens can happen in the universe.
So the Holy Spirit is the power
of God. Therefore, the Holy Spirit is
omnipotent. However, even though He is
omnipotent, He still takes commands from the Father who issues those commands
with the Word. Therefore, in a sense,
the Father is the omnipotent one, for although the Spirit controls the power
that executes all actions, it is the Father that tells the Spirit what to
execute. The Spirit submits to the Will
of the Father. The Father, therefore,
dominates the Spirit, and the Spirit submits to the Father.
This makes the Father, then, the
omniscient one as well. Because the
Spirit brings all knowledge to the Father, the Father is able to know all
things. So the Father is truly the
ruling mind of the entire universe. He
is the big boss. He knows all and sees
all, but only because the Holy Spirit gives Him this power and
information. He is present everywhere
only because the Holy Spirit is everywhere.
This is why ONLY the Word of God can divide soul and spirit. Only the Word of God can define the
difference between the two and separate them out so that we might understand them.
