The Hosts of the Soul

                As for our souls…they go wherever our bodies and spirits go.  They require a host.  If our bodies die then our souls have no choice but to go wherever our spirits go.  This is why scriptures often use the spirit and soul almost interchangeably and why there is so much confusion about the two.  The two are practically inseparable. 

                However, Hebrews 4:12 clearly states, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit.”  Why does it say this?  Without the Word of God the spirit and soul cannot even be defined.  Their ability to understand anything cannot exist without the Word.  Since the Word of God defines all things it can even divide the spirit and soul by defining them as separate entities and by defining their roles.
