The Mystery of Creation: Chapter 6: Limited Wills: God's Dream
God’s Dream
Therefore, we can finally
conclude the motive of creation. God has
planned to love all of His creation and live with them in peace and harmony
forever. He wanted to create all things
and He wanted to live with all things in peace and harmony because that would
bring the most efficient way of living.
It would bring pleasure and happiness to all beings. It would bring peace and love and purpose and
meaning to all beings. His desire has
always been and always will be to enjoy His creation, the entire Kingdom of God
from “The Third Heaven” to Earth, “The First Heaven”.
But in order to create
everything so perfectly, God had to create all of these beings with free
wills. He wanted them to love Him, not
because they had to, but because they WANTED to. He created them with the ability to choose to
be good or evil for this very purpose.
If He had not wanted them to choose to love Him, He would have given
them enslaved wills. In other words, we’d
all be like robots, forced to love God, if He had simply wanted to create
beings that HAD to love Him.
So we can know, then, that by
giving us free wills God’s ultimate goal was to have us choose to be good and
to love Him. Therefore, His end game,
His ultimate motive, is that He loves us and wants US to love HIM. In order to make that happen, He had to first
give us a choice. Then, knowing we would
sin, He had to let us reject Him and suffer for it.
However, since we know that God
is perfect and all knowing, knowing the ending before the beginning, we can
know that God planned for us to fail and reject Him. Therefore, He must have planned, from before
creation began, to redeem humanity; to give us a way to return to Him and love
Him. Since He made us to love Him, and
since we rejected that love, He must have prepared for this and set up a way,
in the vastness of His planning, for us to come back to Him and accept His love
once more. After all, what good would it
have done to create us to love Him only to have us eternally reject Him? That would be a like a man who purposely marries
a woman that he knows will never truly love him and will constantly cheat on
him. Who would really do that?
So God must have set up a way
for all humanity to be able to accept God again and to love Him. In this way, if a human accepted God again
and loved Him, God would forgive their sins and their rejections and He would
make it so that they could live with Him forever in paradise, as He had always
planned it.
And so, His dream must have
been, and is, that God dreams of the time when those that love God will live
with Him forever in peace and harmony in paradise in joy and happiness with
pleasure and wonders beyond measure. His
ultimate goal, the reason He patiently waits and watches as humans suffer is so
that He can get to that day when He will bring all evil to an end. On that day, evil will be swept away and good
will live in peace and harmony with Him forever, just as He always planned. He will know that His creation loves Him, for
they will have chosen Him.
